Schickling builds in Germany and it shows: a crank moves the grate through five heights. Down near the embers a steak sears hard; up top a sausage takes its time. No guessing under a lid — you can see everything.
At 95 cm working height you stand up straight instead of bending over. Chimney starter, plancha, smoker box, rotisserie with back burner and skewers are available as extras.
This page also carries the Yakiniku kamado — thick ceramic in which one load of charcoal lasts all day — and the two SKOTTIs for taking with you. The Mini burns charcoal, the bigger SKOTTI runs on either charcoal or a gas cartridge; both are up in a minute.
