Right of withdrawal

This instruction applies to consumers within the meaning of § 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB).
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal you must inform us by means of a clear statement (for example a letter sent by post or an email) of your decision to withdraw from this contract. You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but this is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline it is sufficient that you send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Consequences of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you, including delivery costs (with the exception of supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a delivery type other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal from this contract.
We will use the same means of payment you used for the original transaction for this reimbursement, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this reimbursement.
If you requested that the rental service should begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us an amount proportionate to what has been provided until the point at which you informed us of the exercise of the right of withdrawal, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract.
Rental items already handed over must be returned to us without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of your withdrawal. You bear the direct cost of returning them.
Note on date-specific bookings
Under § 312g(2) no. 9 BGB there is no right of withdrawal for contracts concerning services related to leisure activities where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance.
As a rule we do not invoke this exception and we grant you the right of withdrawal described above. Independently of this, under our terms you may cancel a booking free of charge up to 48 hours before the agreed handover.
Model withdrawal form
This is the statutory template set out in Annex 2 to Article 246a § 1 (2) EGBGB. Copy the text into an email or print it out, fill in the details and send it to us. Using it is voluntary — an informal email is equally sufficient.
