This is a translation for convenience. The German version is the legally binding one.
We handle your data the way we would want ours handled: sparingly and understandably. This policy tells you what happens when you visit this site, what happens when you book, and what you can ask of us at any time.
1. Controller

2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Delivery happens via servers inside the EU, though transfer to Google LLC in the USA cannot be ruled out.
When you open the site, the host automatically processes technical access data: IP address, date and time, page requested, volume of data transferred, referrer URL, and browser and operating system information. This data is technically necessary to deliver the page and protect it against attacks.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in stable, secure operation. We have a data processing agreement with Google; transfers to third countries rely on the EU standard contractual clauses. Log data is deleted or anonymised after a maximum of 30 days.
3. Cookies and consent
Technically necessary storage: we store your language choice and your cookie decision locally in your browser (localStorage). This information never leaves your device and serves only to operate the site. The legal basis is § 25(2) TDDDG together with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Anything beyond that — statistics cookies in particular — is only set once you explicitly agree in the cookie banner. The legal basis is then § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
You can change or withdraw your decision at any time by clicking "Settings" in the site footer. Withdrawal takes effect from that moment and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand.
4. Google Analytics 4
Only with your consent do we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service of Google Ireland Limited. Without consent no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookies are set.
Analytics helps us understand which equipment people search for and which pages they fail to find. It processes pseudonymised usage data: truncated IP address, pages viewed, time on page, approximate location at city level, device type and traffic source. Google Signals and advertising features are switched off; we do not use the data for advertising.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The recipient is Google, with whom a data processing agreement exists; transfers to the USA rely on the EU standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Retention in Analytics is 14 months.

5. Booking via Rentware
Our availability display and booking flow run through Rentware, rental software provided by Rentware GmbH, Hauptstraße 3, 10827 Berlin, Germany. The booking widgets are loaded from Rentware servers (cdn.rtr-io.com), which transmits your IP address to Rentware — without it no connection could be established.
When you complete a booking, Rentware processes on our behalf the data needed for the rental contract: name, address, email address, phone number, rental period, items booked and payment details. We need this data to perform the contract with you.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract) for the booking itself and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for the technical integration of the widgets. Booking and invoice data is retained for up to ten years under commercial and tax law obligations.
6. Contacting us
If you contact us by email (info@getagrill.de), phone or WhatsApp, we process what you send in order to answer you. With WhatsApp the transfer runs via WhatsApp Ireland Limited and their privacy terms apply in addition. If you would rather avoid that, please email or call us instead.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry concerns a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete enquiries once they are resolved and no statutory retention period applies.
7. No further sharing
We do not sell data and do not pass it on for advertising. Sharing only happens with the processors named above, with payment providers to settle your payment, with our tax advisor for accounting, and where we are legally obliged to.
8. Your rights
You have the following rights towards us at any time:
- Access to the data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Erasure of your data where no retention obligation applies (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Portability of your data in a common format (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
An informal message to info@getagrill.de is enough. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.
9. Changes to this policy
We update this privacy policy when our website or the legal situation changes. The version published here, with the date shown above, is the one that applies.
